NEOTION is a high-tech Company designing innovative solutions for the International digital TV market which plays a major role on the sector of Conditional Access Modules (CAM) developed for Pay TV platforms.

NEOTION designs and develops its own range of processors and has been able to leverage on its core skills in Security by developing a wide range of CAM (DVB-CI and CI Plus) available for Satellite, Terrestrial and Cable networks, embedding the major Conditional Access Systems solutions (CAS).

Since ten years, NEOTION is focusing on CAM development. The products are divided into 2 main categories: products for Operators and products for the retail distribution; the main difference is the level of customization.
An « operator » CAM will be particularly developed to answer operator needs and will integrate specifics functionalities, a particular presentation, languages, etc.
NEOTION also develops retail CAM products which don’t take benefit of a particular customization but which are operational for several Pay TV services operators.

NEOTION have its own ASIC development center, it's a real strenght in a market dominated by the segmentation of activities, where development is generally done by third party companies. The knowledge of the technology and components is an essential advantage for NEOTION and its customers. NEOTION keeps a close link with its partners, editors of conditional access solutions.

The processors developed by NEOTION are also commercialized to be integrated into devices like Set-Top-Box. Then, these devices are proposed by their manufacturers to the pay TV operators or distribution retail networks.

In conclusion, NEOTION is not willing to act as a simple supplier but invest a lot in Customer Relation. NEOTION is a real partner, which will guide the clients and carry their projects on the technical plan (new functionalities, innovative solutions, best user experience, etc.) but also through every related services, such as packaging, support, after-sales or logistic.

The digital television market

The digital television market is characterised by its global dimension. The so-called "all-digital" revolution has been progressing since year 2000 (from analogue to digital SD, to HD and now to 3D) and making an impact on the general public, affecting images broadcast by satellite, DTT, Cable, IP and ADSL.

The gradual switch-off of analogue will ensure the digital era and considerably increase the global market where analogue televisions will have to be replaced or upgraded.

The evolution of DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television) and IPTV (Television over the Internet)and the increase of global content production and distribution continues to drive the home entertainment industry with increased sales of latest technology TV sets (HD, 3D and now [CI Plus]) enabling the consumer "easy access" and improving their viewing pleasure.

The digital television market in France

The situation of terrestrial digital television in France is one of the most active in Europe. Since the launch of DTT on 31 st March 2005 , more than 1.1 million set top boxes have been sold.

Arriving later, integrated digital televisions with a built-in DTT tuner have already gain over 200,000 households.

Finally, retailers and consumers are awaiting the new ranges of DVD recorders with built-in digital terrestrial tuners.
